Heathrow Scientific Brix Scale Hydrometers with C Thermometer are calibrated to show the percentage of sucrose by weight at 20C.
The Brix Scale is based on the following: 1Brix = 1% sucrose by weight at specified temperature (20C). The data of the National Bureau of Standards are used.
The thermometer scale is located in the body. The thermometers have a range of 0 to 50C with 1 subdivisions. A correction scale for conversion of reading to 20C is printed opposite the temperature scale.
