The StaphTEX™ Blue kit tests for both the Clumping Factor and Protein A found in S. aureus. Clumping Factor is detected in both the free and bound form. The easy procedure involves placing several colonies within the raised circle on the card provided. A drop of the blue latex solution is added and mixed with the provided four inch flat-end mixing sticks. Positives begin to clump immediately. The entire procedure takes less than one minute.
